10% Discount on Our Software Continues Until 21 March |

It has been a exciting year so far with a series of 5 Star Ratings awarded to our games, as well as some remarkable reviews, and a host of rewarding messages and comments from our customers. I would like to say a big "thank you" to everyone who has contacted us since the games were launched. Your comments are particularly rewarding for our software developers (programmers, graphics artists, sound specialists and level designers) who have worked hard to produce the four games in our current line-up: Repton 1, Galaforce Worlds, Ravenskull, and Solid Spheres Deluxe. At the latest count these four games had received over thirty 5 Star Ratings, with more awards coming in from the software websites week by week. Our top-selling game to date is Repton 1, as we expected. David Bratton has produced this top-class PC version of the game that had already become a big hit in several other formats, and is destined for more success with the PC version of Repton 2 in an advanced stage of development. I know many of you are eagerly awaiting Repton 2, and we will be releasing the game as soon as possible: the finishing touches are all-important, and can be quite time consuming, but worthwhile at the end of the day. Our friends at Masabi also have a second Repton release under development for the mobile phone software market. Superior has officially licensed Masabi to publish mobile phone versions of several of our games, and we are very pleased with the fruits of this partnership. In terms of PC software reviews, Galaforce Worlds programmed by Ian Rees, has made a great impression with the online Cariboo Computer Magazine earning a 10 out of 10 Rating well ahead of several well-known games, such as Call of Duty and Jedi Academy. Ian is also sharing in our Repton 1 success as he designed many of the new Repton levels. And if you make it through to the final Danube level in Ravenskull, that difficult level is yet another of Ian's creations! He's also very good at playing the games, which is clearly a helpful attribute for level design work. If you need any help or guidance on Galaforce Worlds, there are now some Hints and Tips at the Superior Interactive website. If you achieve a score of 50000 or more, the online Galaforce Worlds Hall of Fame awaits you. We are considering a prize draw for everyone who registers a Hall of Fame entry for our current games. We will give full details soon: three of our games contain this feature already, and we are planning on also including a Hall of Fame entry system to Solid Spheres Deluxe. Superior built up an enviable reputation for producing high quality games software for other computer systems, and we want to keep our standards high with our PC software. Judging from your comments we have definitely hit the right chord, and Ravenskull is a favourite with many of our players! Containing two large adventures, the first one is certainly tricky, while the second one is an even greater challenge. Just the thing to keep the mind active; and it's a very enjoyable game, with the harder levels containing save-game points at selected locations, which avoids the frustration of having to repeat key sections. Darren Izzard developed Ravenskull, as well as making a considerable amount of the graphics, music and sounds of Repton 1. He is now working on a PC version of Pipeline, which is looking superb and is now in at an advanced stage of development. It will feature an even more sophisticated level editor than Ravenskull, and major new levels. One of the most prized awards for shareware (the free trial versions of our games) is the Shareware Industry Award for Best Action / Arcade Game. In 2003 the competition was fierce with Solid Spheres, Quake 3 Arena and Bubble Shooter receiving nominations. I was delighted when Solid Spheres programmed by my friend Marc Georgeson won the 2003 award among such esteemed company; and I was very pleased when Marc agreed to produce a new upgraded version, which we decided to call Solid Spheres Deluxe. Once again the high ratings have flowed in; and GameZone gave Solid Spheres Deluxe a sparkling review, concluding with these words: "This is an excellent puzzle game, with plenty of thought-provoking puzzles to keep fans busy for hours, trying to get the perfect combination of jumps. The editor extends the life of the game, with the possibility of family members extending challenges to each other. I wholeheartedly recommend this game for any fan of puzzles." We are always very interested to receive new software submissions, and those of you who have worked with Superior will know that we have built up a firmly-established name for honesty and fair play towards our programmers, developers and customers. Trust and integrity are vitally important in this line of business; we have over 20 years of software development experience, while our current relationships with Masabi and Addictive 247 emphasise the value we place in working with suitable partners today. We have some very exciting future plans for Superior, and I can provisionally mention two of them at this stage. Firstly, we are currently considering major affiliate arrangements, and I expect to be be able to make an announcement on this important subject in the near future. Secondly, there is the possibility that we will be selling a top-class new game on the Superior website soon; discussions are taking place now, and while nothing has been formally decided at this stage, I am hopeful that we will be able to agree terms to sell this exceptional game. The game is currently being revised and improved, and if everything goes to plan, I will let you know all about it in our newsletter as soon as the details are agreed. Coming back to our current games, Repton 1, Galaforce Worlds, Ravenskull and Solid Spheres Deluxe ... We will still be giving occasional discount offers after 21 March, usually for one specific game at any time, whereas our current 10% Discount Offer applies across the board on all of Superior games purchased up to 21 March. Best wishes, Richard Hanson, Superior Interactive |
