Another Repton fan, Matthew Thompson, recently asked us about the highest possible score that can be achieved on the Repton 1 Starter Scenario. We don't know the exact maximum figure yet, but a score of over 60000 can definitely be reached. Phillipe Ives, the current leader in the Repton 1 Hall of Fame, has achieved 52511 on this scenario so far.

The scene depicted on the Repton 'Bright Side!' T-shirt is loosely based upon one of the well-known early puzzles in the Repton 1 Starter Scenario.

When attempting to complete Level 3 (Terrapin) for the first time, many players will get into a position similar to the one shown in the picture.

In this position there are some diamonds remaining to collect, but Repton is trapped! At least he can still call upon one of his extra lives to enable him to reach the final diamonds. Always look on the bright side!
